DIRECTOR OF JUNIOR CLUBS PROJECT

I am excited to share the news regarding a dynamic comprehensive adult literacy program located in Western Massachusetts ~ Top Floor Learning.

     The literacy rate in the US has many educators in search of answers about this problem that has plagued our country for decades. Instead of decreasing, the numbers of literacy has steadily increased over the years. This raises a lot of questions about our education system, how it is run, and why there is such a problem with illiterate people in our country.

      The NAAL (National Assessment of Adult Literacy) administered tests which revealed that an estimated 14% of US residents would have extreme difficulty with reading and written comprehension. These people can legally be defined as illiterate.

 

It would be a privilege if all Junior Clubs in Massachusetts joined in supporting my goal to raise $2500 for this premiere adult literacy program. With club donations and sales from my bookmarks and star necklaces that are available at Junior Conferences (handcrafted by T Jablanski) we can reach this attainable goal.  Please view this website to learn more about this worthy effort to promote education, opportunity and skill development.
