outstanding
commitment to club, community, and family.
The Marilyn
Perry Leadership Award focuses

The Martha
Michaelwich Clubwoman of the Year Award goes to the
clubwoman who has gone above the call of duty for her
club.
GFWC’s Community
Improvement
Program Award (formerly the Community Improvement Contest) aims to
enhance the lives of GFWC’s neighbors around the world by
meeting
community specific needs, and elevating our clubs’ status
within those
communities. The Community Improvement
Program Award provides a vision for the future of the relationships
between clubs and their communities.
The International
Outreach Challenge is for each
club to collect enough money
to buy a pig for Heifer, International and to name and decorate the
club's ceramic piggy bank.
The GFWC Photography
Contests encourage our members’ artistic expression, and
recognize and
support members’ achievements in photography. These contests
are
individual contests. GFWC offers these opportunities to
participate in
the Photography Contests:
- The
World in
Pictures contests are judged at the state level where the first place
winner in each category is submitted to GFWC
- Feature
- Natural
History
- Scenic
- GFWC
Volunteers in Action
- A Year
in
Pictures (also known as the GFWC Calendar Contest) is an individual
contest where each
club selects the best picture from
their
club to be sent on to GFWC.

"Volunteers in Action" Photography Contest.
The
GFWC Creative

members and children to submit
their short stories and poetry.
GFWC
of
Massachusetts has it's own Art contest
where members and the children of members can submit their
artwork to
be displayed along with the photographs at the Annual Artist's Tea.
Awards for winning artwork and photographs are presented at
the April
Awards Day.
The GFWC Website
Contest aims to challenge
clubs and states to employ their websites as membership tools with
organized and updated content that presents a professional and credible
source of information. Individual clubs and states can enter
the GFWC
website contest and an award is given at the state level for the club
with the best website.
The GFWC Newsletter
Contest
encourages clubs and state federations to establish a strong newsletter
program aimed at increasing awareness about ongoing projects, programs,
events, and issues that affect GFWC members, clubs, and communities.
An award is given on the state level to the club with the
best
newsletter. Any club and the state can also enter the GFWC
newsletter
contest.
The Publicity
Book Contest
encourages clubs to keep a record of the many ways in which they have
reached the public throughout the year.
