Because
of the integral nature of the GFWC
Advancement Guides,
Communication & Public Relations, Fundraising, Leadership,
Membership,
and
the Women's History and Resource Center, these areas are now recognized
as core Advancement areas of any successful program. Each of
these areas will have an "advancement" section in the 2012-2014 Club
Manual.
Communication and Public Relations: Public relations covers more
than just publicity. The term public relations describes the
interrelationships between GFWC, its members, the general public, and
other entities, including the government. Your club’s communications
efforts are the vehicle by which you achieve your public relations
goals. In this guide, you will find ideas, resources, tools, and tips
necessary for achieving successful public relations and professional
communications to promote GFWC clubs, districts, States, Regions, and
the national organization.

The
purpose of Fundraising
is to upport club, district, state, and national fundraising
efforts with ideas, resources, and tools, which can generate non-dues
revenue to support the projects and initiatives of GFWC, clubs,
districts, and state federations.
The objective of
the Leadership
program is to support club, district, state, and national
leadership efforts with ideas, resources, and tools to assist all
members in developing their leadership skills.
The
GFWC Membership
Advancement Guide supports clubs
with ideas, resources, and tools to ensure the future of the
Federation by retaining and recruiting members, renewing Federation
pride, and building new GFWC clubs.
The GFWC Public Policy &
Legislation guide supports member advocacy efforts, based on GFWC Resolutions and priority issues. This At-a-Glance
resource will provide you with basic tools and information to actively
engage in issues that matter to your club, community, State Federation,
and GFWC.
The Women's
History and Resource Center
promotes GFWC's history to
educate and inspire. |
